Ngā kawenga | About the role
This is not your typical ‘admin' role - our diverse team of Administrators have a significant responsibility and play a critical part in providing coordination and support services to enable the Board and the Public Protection Order Review Panel to carry out their statutory responsibilities.
We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our New Zealand Parole Board (NZPB) Support Services team based in Wellington. In this role you will provide administration support to the Operations Managers, as well as provide support to the NZPB Hearing Managers and wider NZPB Leadership team.
The work profile for this position is Monday to Friday, working a 40-hour week.

He kōrero mōu | About you
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office such as Microsoft word, Outlook and Excel
- Experience and good knowledge of administrative systems, processes and technology combined with experience in providing administrative support to a team, and within state/public sector environments
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisation, planning and time management skills
- Good attention to detail
- Sound judgement and skilled at managing sensitive and confidential information
- A flexible and collaborative team-player who is willing to support the work of others
- Ability to show empathy when communicating with victims and support people
- Shows cultural competence and sensitivity towards Māori, Pasifika and other cultures

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The midpoint of the salary range is $55,520 and the full range (85%-120%) is $46,041 - $64,999. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
