Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The Psychology Practice Supervisor provides a senior level of psychology care and expertise in both direct care delivery and support to other staff.
The psychology practice supervisor in Adult Community Mental Health, demonstrates proven leadership and clinical competence. They work collaboratively with the Professional Leader for psychology, the service clinical directors and clinical team leaders of the adult community mental health services. They provide clinical expertise and support to the psychologists within the services and contribute to the leadership forums within adult community mental health.
The psychology practice supervisor role covers the four Community Mental Health Centres (CMHCs) at Te Toka Tumai (Cornwall House, Manaaki House, Taylor Centre, Kainga Tiaki Centre); Te Whetu Tawera (Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service); Rauaroha (Specialist Psychotherapy Service); and Lotofale (Pacific Island Mental Heatlh Service).
This position is a full-time role with Practice Supervisor component (0.4 FTE) and a clinical component (0.6 FTE) making up the rest of the role. Internal applicants who already work within one of the services listed above will retain their current clinical role at 0.6 FTE. The clinical component for a successful applicant external to Te Toka Tumai will be within one of our 4 CMHC as determined by the Service Clinical Director.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
- You will be an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
- You will also have previous proven experience supervising, mentoring, and coaching.
- NZ Registered Clinical Psychologist with APC.
