He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We Currently have a vacancy in our Sterilising Department at Whakatāne Hospital for a Sterilisation Technician. This is a permanent full-time role, working 80 hours per fortnight.
The Sterilisation Technician works as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Perioperative Department to provide sterile instruments for use in the Operating Theatre as well as other areas of the hospital and also some outside providers.

The successful applicant will have a positive attitude with excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team. We are looking for someone with a high level of attention to detail and who is flexible and willing to work a shift work pattern.
Preference will be given to applicants who currently hold the Sterilising Certificate; however, consideration will be given to those who are willing to gain the qualification.
