We are currently seeking an experienced IS Security & Operations Engineer to join our IS team and assist us with implementing and maintaining best IT/IS practice and provide support services across the organisation.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**:

- Ensure Vitaco systems are reliable, secure and compliant.
- Contribute to infrastructure and system transformation programmes.
- Provide system design input to achieve expected levels of availability, performance and business continuity.
- Manage and maintain Vitaco security operations to identify, protect, detect, respond, recover according to the cyber security functional framework.
- Maintaining general IT operations and support services including environmental monitoring.
- Maintain the effective delivery of IS support services by providing level 2/3 support across all systems.
- Manage asset lifecycle development and deployment solution optimisation.
- Manage system and data backup processes and reporting whilst ensuring DR capabilities are fit for purpose.
- Lead IS problem management and continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with IS team and the Vitaco business.
- Liaise with vendors to maintain effective partnerships that deliver to requirements.
- Assist the IS Architecture & Operations Manager and Head of IS with delivery of various projects.
- This role requires infrequent work after hours and/or weekends for planned technical deployments and maintenance plus occasional support/faults/incidents.
- Customer service excellence - providing practical infrastructure support to all users and meeting agreed customer SLA

**To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IS Systems and level 2 and 3 support in a SME/corporate environment.
- Proven experience in managing and maintaining complaint security operations under a functional framework.
- Level 2/3 experience in design and build, change management and transition to cloud services.
- Experience with networking infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls and WLAN
- Solid experience with cloud services/platforms, active directory/Entra ID, IaaS, server infrastructure, VMware, SQL Server, storage systems
- Expertise with monitoring systems, event to alerting processes for general IS environments and cyber security.
- Proven experience in supporting users in the Microsoft computing (on-prem and cloud) environment e.g. M365, Windows 10/11
- Ability to follow complex, technical company procedures.
- Ability to make sound decisions backed up by experience and technical knowledge/skill
- ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Security Operations and Firewall certification are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
