**CPP Supervisor - Onehunga Site**

We have an opportunity for a secondment to the role of CPP Supervisor. The CPP Supervisor will facilitate a positive, collaborative working relationship between Police and Oranga Tamariki and support the continuous improvement of work that occurs under the CPP protocol. This position covers both the Auckland and Waitemata Police districts.

**Mo te tunga | About the role**

As part of this role you will work with the Police on a daily basis to agree on Joint investigation plans, liaise with respective site intake and assessment supervisors. Consult with Police on Multi-Allegation Investigation and be the intermediary between Police and Oranga Tamariki sites throughout each stage of the assessment.

The role requires the establishment of effective ways of communication between Police and Oranga Tamariki. To build stakeholder relationships, that is Ministry of Education to determine whether assessments are Multi-Allegation investigations.

The role requires you to ensure concerns or issues identified early within this role or relationship and are raised within Oranga tamariki in a appropriate and timely manner.

Key requirements of the role include:

- A full, clean, valid driver's licence
- Full registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB)
- A social worker qualification recognised by the SWRB
- Previous people management and/or mentoring experience is essential
- An ability to build and lead an effective team and be a team player
- A proactive approach that places the needs of tamariki front and centre in all decisions and actions.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage competing demands
- Knowledge of the principals and purposes of the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga M ori, and Pacific peoples' culture.
