**Position Information**:
This position is part of our collaborative engineering team focusing on building new and innovative payment products. You will be involved in the development of new products, as well as looking at ways we can refine our current products.

You will most likely have used one of our payment products in New Zealand getting fuel - so you will know that we build fast, efficient and user friendly products In this position you will be involved in the following:

- Mechanical Design and Engineering
- Assist in the electromechanical design architecture of new product, driving all levels of the mechanical assembly and part design and development.
- Development of product concepts, models, and evaluation
- Utilize rapid prototyping technologies to quickly enable design decisions to be made.
- Implement reviews (design and DFMEA) ensuring engineering methodologies are being practiced), conduct testing, and compliance within the NPD Stage-Gate process.
- Ensure designs have been validated using FEA, CFM and other techniques.
- Implement best practice Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Test (DFT), and Design for Service (DFS) principles, to ensure the best solution for production and deployment.
- Ensure strong collaboration with component suppliers, utilizing Design for manufacture (DFM),
- Drive progress and raise engineering risks throughout the project and raise exceptions immediately to the Project Manager. Ensure goals are set and met in terms of scope, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Drive solid pragmatic approaches to Lean / Agile Engineering Development

**About You**:
We are looking for a Senior Engineer who loves building new and innovative products, you will need to have held a similar position ideally with the experience in the following:

- 3+ years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role
- Experience autonomously and within a team environment at a project level.
- Solid understanding in the design and modern production techniques, within commodities such as: plastic injection moulding, sheet metal forming/bending, die casting, LCD assemblies.
- Solid understanding of design-to-cost methodologies.
