Recreation Assistant - Rock Wall Supervisor

This position is based at Birkenhead Leisure Centre, and we are looking for 2 people to cover two shifts

This is a full part time position of 12 hours per week

**Option 1**

Monday 4:00pm - 8:00pm (4hours)

Sunday 9:45am - 6:15pm (8hours)

Or

**Option 2**

Wednesday 4:00pm - 8:00pm (4hours)

Saturday 9:45am - 6:15pm (8hours)

Opportunity for additional hours for Holiday Programme and EOTC programming.

The role will encompass:

- Teaching people how to use the rock walls safely
- Interacting with customers of all ages
- Ensuring all customers are safe and supported
- Assisting on the front desk as and when required

Whilst rock climbing experience is advantageous it is NOT necessary, all training can be provided.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

You will already be passionate about sports and recreation and be ready to step into a frontline customer service role.

You will also be:

- responsible when it comes to working with children. (While previous experience working with children is beneficial, it is not essential)
- have a flexible approach and be able to use your initiative to facilitate suitable programmes for kids.
- be an enthusiastic team player
- have a positive attitude and infectious energy
- be committed to providing your customers with an exceptional experience.
- understand health and safety
- you will be committed to maintaining a high degree of professionalism in your work

You will need a First Aid Certificate so we will help you attain this if you do not have one already.
