FRAMECAD is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.

**What you will be doing**

Fueled by the significant growth of the FRAMECAD business and with recent staff movements within the team, we are scaling up our Mechanical Design team and are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. This position will support the Mechanical Design team and wider business in delivering Functional design and drafting of FRAMECAD roll-forming manufacturing systems, contributing to product concepts, innovation, prototyping, optimisation and experimentation as well as providing support to the in-service support team, maintenance investigations and overall Customer Success.

**What we are looking for**

We are looking for an experienced individual who can fit in well with our with our business culture, design and draft components to international standards, conduct structural strength validation using appropriate FEA tools (e.g. Solidworks Simulation), liaise and co-ordinate with 3rd party suppliers relating to design, manufacture and supply of machine parts and assemblies and have a drive for continuous improvement among a variety of other Mechanical Design tasks.

**Skills and Experience**:

- 5+ years of experience in Mechanical design
- Good interpersonal, communication and planning skills
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to develop, prepare, document and monitor methods, standards and procedures for the implementation of manufacturing machines/capital equipment and design process
- SOLIDWORKS (equivalent 3D Modelling package considered)
- 2D AutoCAD proficient
- Ability to contribute to development of systems and processes to adapt to changing needs to business.
- Ability to hit the ground running and have a “can-do” attitude towards challenges.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
- Comfortable in a fast-growing organisation and willing to do whatever it takes for the team and success of the business.

**Nice to have**:

- Experience in an International Business and working with multiple suppliers and customers
