G2 Mechanical Technician

Downer is an industry leader in water, providing water services to a quarter of New Zealanders. We support our customers across the full asset life-cycle from the conceptual development of a project through design, construction, commissioning and whole-of-life support and optimisation.

The contract we look after is responsible for the maintenance of the water and wastewater networks including Treated Water Reservoirs and associated pump stations, which include mechanical and electrical maintenance, so no day is the same.
- This is a full time (minimum 40 hours a week), permanent role, based in Auckland - New Zealand.
- This role is offered as part of a Union, so there are opportunities to earn overtime, penal rates & stand-by rates.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**

**Qualifications**
- Full NZ Driver Licence - Class 1 and Class 2 will be an advantage.
- Hiab training would be an advantage
- Certification in confined spaces & working at heights preferred
- NZQF Level 4 qualification in relevant field or at least three years of relevant experience.
