**Taitara Mahi - Community Grants and Partnership Advisor**
**_Permanent Part-Time _**
This position manages Council’s community grant programmes to support community-led initiatives. The community grant programme includes Single-year Community Grants, Multi-year Strategic Community Partnerships, the Rural Halls Maintenance Fund and support for other Council grants programmes including Creative Communities and Youth.
Through funding and partnerships, this role assists community groups to work with Council on the current and future needs of the community. Communities know their own strengths and needs, and with the support of the Community Grants and Partnership Advisor they can access funding to help implement the solutions and reach their aspirations.
The Community Grants and Partnership Advisor also supports the development, resourcing and delivery of Council’s strategies, plans, programmes and projects and seeks to obtain external funding to support this.
Ideally this position is 25 hours per week with some flexibility. During peak times additional hours may be required to be worked on occasions.

**_To be successful in this role you will:_**
- Have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in community development, community contract management and grants/funding or similar discipline is essential.
- Have proven experience in working within communities with people from diverse backgrounds and establishing rapport with community groups and across Council.
- Be passionate about making a difference and working with the community.
- Be well organised with an ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
