With a fleet of 21 high speed passenger catamarans with a range of propulsion systems, our vessels range between 24m to 41m. We have opportunities for talented Deckhands with engineering capabilities to join our team

**About the role**

Reporting to the Crew Development Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring we deliver an outstanding experience and safe journey for our customers. Responsible for all deck duties on board, you'll also ensure the crew are trained and operating at a high standard. You'll be a real champion of the customer experience and motivate your crew to go above and beyond.

**Duties**
- Lead and influence the customer experience
- Provide outstanding customer service in our bar and café
- Deck work
- Preparing gangways
- Loading and stowing cargo
- Completing engine room checks
- Handling lines in all weather conditions
- Lead of safety on the vessels
- Provide training and guidance to our junior crew

**Skills & Experience**:

- You must hold a current New Zealand SRL ticket (Skipper Restricted Limits) with endorsements for vessels up to 24 meters, High Speed vessels, and large Passenger numbers
- You will hold a current seafarer medical
- You will have a minimum 6 month experience in a similar role
- You pride yourself on providing an outstanding customer experience
- You have a proven track record and ability to successfully lead and support your crew
- You will have a high level of maturity, and ability to work under pressure
- You pride yourself on your high standard of personal presentation
