We're looking for a kitchen hand for our busy restaurant, Thai 2 Go, in Mount Maunganui to;
- Ensure cleanliness in the kitchen, food preparation areas to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Wash and sanitize cooking and general utensils used in the kitchen and restaurant to ensure safe food handling practices.
- Handle inventory by handling, weighing and checking supplies and equipment to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Assist with food preparation by assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Ensuring meals are sent out of the kitchen to a high level of presentation.
- Assist in basic cooking tasks to support kitchen operations.
- At least NZ Register Level 1 qualification or compulsory secondary qualification. (Overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification)
- At least one months work experience as a kitchen hand may substitute for the qualification.
- Knowledge of Thai food ingredients and basic knowledge of how to prepare those ingredients.

**Salary**: $30.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to Commute:

- Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty (required)
