In order for MBIE to deliver on our purpose to Grow Aotearoa New Zealand for All, we need to ensure that as an organisation we are constantly improving and changing to meet the needs of our customers, stakeholders and our people. We need an organisational strategy and systems that deliver today and position us well for the future.
As our Advisor Organisational Strategy, you'll be a key member of the team supporting the refresh of MBIE’s organisational strategy, Te Ara Amiorangi, and development of other strategic work streams.
You will have a real opportunity to develop your understanding of how large organisations work to improve the overall environment and connection to a common cause. You will engage across the organisation and gain exposure to MBIE’s policy, operational and funding environments. As such this is a fantastic opportunity providing open progression pathways both within the team and wider MBIE depending on your interest.
Your work week will be varied but rewarding, and require a collaborative approach to work in partnership with the team and wider MBIE. Your day might include supporting the organisation of outreach and engagement sessions with people across MBIE, helping facilitating feedback sessions, analysing and interpreting feedback, coordinating development of collateral to communicate the strategy or working on performance reporting.

- Sound prioritisation, planning and organisational skills
- A reputation for providing exceptional customer engagement and partnership with experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with a wide range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated agility and ability to respond to changes in demands and priorities
- Proven track record in providing high quality coordination and support within a fast-paced environment would be advantageous
