Senior Civil Structures Engineer, Bridges

We are currently looking for a Senior Civil Structures and Bridges Engineer who is capable of leading design packages, co-ordinating with clients and contractors and working with our Revit modellers and graduate engineers. This role is technical in nature and requires a detailed understanding of New Zealand design standards and seismic engineering.

In this position you will join our Infrastructure team, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘Bring Ideas to Life’ for our clients. We’re focused on continuing to growth in our engineering capabilities and as such we’re looking for someone who is passionate about working collaboratively and building eminence.

What will you do?

You’ll be part of our Tauranga Civil Structures team who are currently working on projects predominantly in the Bay of Plenty and Auckland Regions. The team works on a range of projects including the concept and detailed design, and construction monitoring of bridges, retaining walls, shafts, and miscellaneous water infrastructure.

- Lead design packages for major New Zealand infrastructure projects from Tauranga
- Liaise with clients and contractors, particularly in the Bay of Plenty Region
- Explore cutting edge technology and techniques - in particular digital engineering
- Take an active role in graduate development and helping develop business with local clients
- Be part of a supportive team that works together to meet our client’s goals

This role is technical in nature and requires a detailed understanding of New Zealand design standards, in particular seismic engineering. Your experience will be at a senior level and will include seismic design and detailing. You’ll hold a relevant qualification and will have previous experience within a consultancy.'
