This exciting and varied role is primarily focused on optimization of our operational efficiencies by aligning our capacity with our capability, from theatre bookings and usage, Pre-Admissions/Admissions, and all the way through to discharge. To achieve this you will directly manage and strategically lead our Pre Admissions, Patient Flow, Admissions, and Bed & Bureau teams. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, and liaise closely with our Specialists, GM of Commercial & Partnerships, GMs of Allevia Epsom & Ascot Hospitals, Theatre Managers, and Charge Nurse Managers. Your home base will be at Allevia Hospital Epsom but you will work across both Allevia Hospitals - Ascot & Epsom. This is a fulltime permanent position working Mon - Fri business hours, with the possibility to work from home one day per week.

You have a healthcare qualification and recent managerial experience within a surgical hospital setting - preferably including demand and capacity management. Your skillset includes people/teams management, data analytics & reporting, projects, and quality improvement. You're an innovator, a strong motivator and influencer, and you have a great eye for detail. You seek win/win outcomes and you're unafraid to have difficult conversations. Your technical skills are advanced (and hopefully include experience using TrendCare).
We're part of the Allevia Health group (previously Healthcare Holdings) and we're New Zealand's largest private surgical facility with 25 theatres across 3 sites including an ICU, HDU and Coronary Care facilities. Our surgical specialties include: Colorectal/Gastro, Gynae, Urology, Neurology, Oncology, reconstructive Plastics (incl free flaps), ENT/ORL, Orthopaedic/Spinal, Head & Neck, and Cardiac/Vascular. Our patients are both adults and children.
