The secret to our success is our people. While we are ordinary people, we are not all the same. We welcome diversity, in all its forms, in fact we consider it a strength. Join us and work at the heart of national security to protect New Zealand and New Zealanders.

We are seeking a talented Technical Threat Analyst to work as part of a tight-knit team of security professionals within the National Cyber Security Centre. Whether you are early in your career, or an industry expert, we want to hear from you.
Our unit defends New Zealand from the most serious and complicated malicious cyber activity. This role will aid in identifying what our adversaries' objectives and targets are, and how best to protect New Zealand's national interests.
The role is point of contact with other technical security agencies and will provide you with a unique opportunity to broaden your existing skillset, and to develop your experience through an established career path.
To be successful in this role, you will be enthusiastic and self-motivated and have:

- the ability to analyse and summarise data
- an ability to work both independently and in a team
- sound judgement and problem solving abilities
- an enquiring mind and an eye for detail

Working in a talented team of security professionals, you will be analysing multiple sources of information and intelligence about technical intrusions and working with diverse customers set across both the public and private sectors. Your work will support the Technical Counter-Surveillance Unit by producing analytical risk-based assessments of technical threats to New Zealand's security and intelligence environments.
