Responsibilities for the role include:

- Deliver a safety culture in all aspects of construction while ensuring zero lost time incidents at all times.
- Provide critical input for sales and project managers in respect to schedules, construction sequences, safe installation methods and risk areas.
- Develop strong relationships with subcontractors, measure performance of subcontractors.
- Recruit, build, manage and foster site management capability with direct reports and contractors.
- Develop and document site management plans and other installation plans.
- Drive compliance with site staff and subcontractors with respect to Project Management Handbook processes and tools (in respect to construction).
- Develop and maintain WHSE Site Specific Safety Plan and Project Site Risk Registers.
- Review and / or development of SWMS for all high-risk activities on site.
- Use design documentation and drawings.
- Establish clear budgets for each site sub-contractor with the Project Manager.
- Develop and use site progress tracking tools to monitor progress of sub-contractors in accordance with the main project schedule.
- Assist the project manager in assessing progress claims for sub-contractors on site.
- Provide clear direction to site managers and supervisors on site.
- Investigate and compile site design data as directed.
- Supervise subcontractors ensuring adherence with contract requirements.
- Manage site QA ensuring installation testing is thoroughly carried out, recorded and signed off.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with contract specifications and scope.
- Work with the Project Manager on Contract Variation Orders and Scope Change Requests.
- Site design including co-ordination of services, establishment of cable routes, positioning of equipment etc.
- On site commissioning and trouble shooting.
- Liaise with the client, consultants and other contractors.
- Able to work shifts is essential during commissioning and go live.

To be successful in this role, you will need to satisfy the following criteria:

- Strong people management and delegation skills along with the ability to manage resources across several areas of activity.
- Trade / Tertiary qualifications in either Electrical or Mechanical field along with relevant experience.
- Experience in detailed electrical and control system operation.
- Ability to plan, organise, lead, control and direct resources.
- Previous experience in management role including staff, cost control and budget management.
- Ability to work in highly secured area and to obtain ASIC.
- Proactive and innovative approach to decision making and problem solving.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to build and maintain relationships with internal and external parties.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills.
- Ability to keep the overall company objectives in perspective while managing day to day activities.
High degree of competence in reading and understanding detailed design documentation.
- Technically competent using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work shifts as required for onsite commissioning and troubleshooting.
