We are looking for permanent full time and part time Support Workers to support our people in our Nelson Whānau Support services.

**What is the role about?**

As a Support Worker, you can be part of our team to enable people with a disability to live a life of choice, freedom and independence. The role requires ability to connect to a variety of clients with disabilities. Support worker must be comfortable and confident driving a mobility vehicle and working with people who are in wheelchair. This is a busy and diverse role supporting people to do the things they want to do, such as going swimming, preparing meals, housework, getting ready for the day and learning life skills the list is endless

**We are looking for people with the following skills**:

- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviours
- Experience working with young clients is advantageous
- Ability to drive a mobility vehicle, good sense of humour and resilience required
- Full drivers' license and owning your own vehicle is essential
