Our values-led Communications Consultancy client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their organically growing Auckland team.
A Senior Associate is a leadership role that requires an experienced communications consultant to lead a team in the day-to-day management of several large client accounts. The overarching objective of this role is the development and implementation of best-practice communications that deliver
against agreed business objectives for a diverse portfolio of clients.
The role requires commercial awareness, confidence in providing balanced and responsive communications advice, and a deep understanding and interest in the media, and existing media and business networks. A Senior Associate is responsible for driving revenue for the business including identifying, pursuing and closing new business opportunities while growing and maintaining our client base on an ongoing and project basis.
The key attributes for the role are strategic business and communication skills, strong leadership capabilities and excellent relationship development and management across all levels. You will be exceptional at writing including the ability to draft high-quality communication strategies, stakeholder communications and business news stories.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, politics, journalism or law.
- 7+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Relevant specialist skills i.e. government relations or Māori and Iwi engagement.
