Due to a new contract win **Ventia **have a **permanent, full-time opportunity for a Cable Jointer to join our team in the Hamilton, Waikato region.** This role offers proven career growth within the team with on-going training and development provided.

**CONDITIONS**

This is a **full-time, permanent position** working **40 hours per/week from 7am - 3:30pm** with the potential to earn significant overtime during busy periods. Car pooling and a **shared company vehicle **to commute to site provided along with a **mobile phone. **Wage base rate is dependent on experience ranging from $36.00per/hour - $41.00per/hour + overt time (OT) (CIRCA).**

**What you’ll be doing**
- Working with a diverse range of contracts to deliver HV/LV work, installations and maintenance of network substations and underground assets
- The jointing will consist of HV (11KV)/LV XLPE/PILCA jointing along with the occasional live LV jointing and termination work
- Gaining exposure to other trades to gain new skills and certifications for progression opportunities

**What you need**
- Electrical Registration (full, provisional, or limited) from the Electrical Workers Registration Board’ (EWRB)
- Driver’s License
- Excavator Ticket (Desirable)
- Hold 3 years electrical and cable jointing industry experience
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of electrical theory and electrical testing
