We’re seeking a reliable, warm-hearted person to support a woman in her 50s with a disability that impacts her mobility and cognition. This is a rewarding role where you’ll provide companionship and practical help, ensuring her day runs smoothly.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Assisting with activities, appointments, and light exercises
- Preparing meals in your home and delivering weekly (autoimmune diet experience preferred)
- Providing emotional support, companionship, and social connection
- Helping with personal care, errands, and household tasks
- Updating digital schedules and reminders
**About You**:
You’re empathetic, organized, and calm under pressure. You enjoy social and outdoor activities and are physically fit. Basic digital skills and a long-term commitment are essential. You bring patience, a sense of humour, and a positive outlook.
Caregiving experience is welcome, but reliability and commitment are key. Your ability to work the set hours, including school holidays is as important as your compassionate, engaging approach.
**Hours & Pay**:
- 25 hours/week at $35/hour as a contractor
- Monday 9.30 - 2.30, Tuesday 9.30 - 1, Thursday 9.30 - 12, Friday 9.30 - 2.30pm
- Extra 9 hours per week for shopping, meals and laundry
