Despatch Coordinator

**About the role**
We are looking for a confident individual to join our centralised despatch team in Dunedin who will be supporting our collection teams operations in Dunedin, Southland, and Queenstown.
You will be part of a team of two that provide the interface between customer services, the operations team, and our drivers.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Proactively set up schedules and routes required for all our services.
- Provide a point of liaison between Drivers and internal functions; co-operate with colleagues and staff from other departments in a cross-functional approach to provide excellent customer service and outcomes.
- Regularly audit, analyse, and review routes to ensure efficiency is maintained, within guidelines provided by operational requirements.
- Provide other support as required (e.g., data entry/reporting, weighbridge lodgements, and other duties as relevant to the branch/business unit).
- Confirm our work accurately within the daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
**To be successful in this role**:
You will have an organised and structured approach when scheduling and confirming the routes and schedules. You will have the ability to think on your feet and juggle tasks and satisfy internal and external customers in a prompt and professional manner.
You are someone who can pick up systems quickly and keen to learn to use Elemos, JDE, Salesforce, Internet explorer and Excel as these are the tools you will be using most of the time. Proven experience using JDE and excel will be considered favourably.
- You can troubleshoot and escalate hardware issues on trucks as required.
- Ability to work as part of a team to meet our daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
- Previous exposure to a transport / logistics / freight services would be beneficial.
- Team player focussed on continuous improvement.
