**About the Role**
As the Regional Group Manager - Facilities Management you will be responsible for the delivery of maintenance and engineering services across the Northern Region. This role will support the implementation of the National Asset Management Strategy into regional operations, ensuring our infrastructure meets operational needs and supports long term sustainability.
Working closely with the Regional Head of Infrastructure, regional leadership team and other key stakeholders, you will oversee the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of facilities management. Be part of a team who help shape service delivery and ensure alignment with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora's strategic goals.
**About the Team**
The IIG team are focused on delivering high-impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system. Giving support, oversight and assurance across projects and programmes, they understand that safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders
**About you**
You are an experienced and strategic leader with over 15 years' experience in facilties and asset management, engineering, and operational delivery across complex environments, ideally within the health and public sectors. You bring a proven track record of leading large, diverse teams and delivering high-quality, sustainable infrstructure services that support equitable health outcomes.
You lead with clarity and purpose building and empowering high performing teams that thrive in fast-paced, evolving contexts. Your leadership style is inclusive, collaborative and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You are an effective communicator, skilled at building strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Whether engaging with executive leaders, government agencies, or community partners, you consistently align interests and drive outcomes that support equitable infrastructure investment and meaningful health impacts.
**You will bring**:
- Proven success managing operational budgets over $25 million
- Proven success in facilties management and management of assets, including the development and implementation of strategic maintenance plans
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change, implement new systems, and drive innovation
- Strong understanding of building systems, compliance frameworks, and sustainability practices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship building skills
- Experience working in multicultural and diverse environments, with a strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022
