As one of our Dental Assistants, you will work alongside our highly trained clinicians and other dental professionals to provide excellent patient care and support. You will be tasked with supporting our clinicians during various dental procedures and ensuring best practice standards are upheld and the best patient care is provided to every patient. You will also take control of tasks such as sterilisation and infection control, ensuring all instruments and equipment are processed and sterilised following best practice guidelines.

Our Dental Assistants will also be required to work on reception occasionally. As one of our Receptionists, you will be the friendly face our patients see when they enter our doors and the voice they hear when they call our practice. A typical day will see you assisting our patients with enquiries, generating and confirming appointment booking, payment processing, banking, and other ad hoc administrative duties.

This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will be someone who enjoys working closely within a team and providing upstanding customer care.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist Clinicians during dental procedures, such as taking X-rays, sterilising instruments, and preparing materials.
- Greet patients, review their medical history and answer any questions they may have
- Provide patient care and education, such as teaching proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records and filing systems
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for use
- Stock and order dental supplies

**More about the role**:

- Permanent, full-time
- 42.50 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Daily hours: 8:15 am - 5:15 pm
- Lumino Porirua is located at Room 407, Level 4, North City Plaza 2 Titahi Bay Road, Porirua 5512
