Keeping the fun running smoothly is all in a day's work From checking in with tutors, setting the vibe for awesome sessions, and making sure everyone's safe and supported — the Recreation Supervisor is hands-on, on the floor, and always ready to jump in. The role also involves:

- Ensuring the delivery of recreation programmes in a safe and appropriate environment that encourages ongoing participation.
- To ensure recreation tutor team members are delivering a branded customer experience that is actively engaging, inspires confidence and a can-do attitude by adhering to customer service standards and normal operating procedures.
- Creating an environment striving to achieve greater customer connection, familiarity and retention.
- To act as a mentor for recreation tutor team members by providing day-to-day supervisory and technical support to ensure the delivery of high-quality programmes.

**About you | Ko Koe Tēnei**

Our ideal applicant will:

- Have previous supervisory experience, ideally in a recreation, sports, hospitality, or service environment
- Be naturally engaging, a strong communicator, approachable and a great team player.
- Have strong attention to detail, effective time management and problem-solving skills.
- Hold a current Comprehensive First Aid Certificate Level 2

**Additional Information | Ko ētahi atu kōrero**:

- ** Hours of work**: Monday to Friday, with the potential for occasional weekend work as required.
- ** Position**: Full-time, permanent.
- ** Location**: This role will be based at Parakiore Recreation and Sports Centre, 50 St Asaph Street. During the establishment phase, you may be required to work from other Council facilities across our network, and some travel between sites will be expected. Flexibility with your work schedule may also be required during this pre-opening period.
