At Manatū Hauora - Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters.
The Communications and Engagement group is a core part of the Government and Executive Services directorate, leading and supporting all Ministry communications and engagement and associated processes and channels.
Ko ake mahi - What you'll do
As the Manager Engagement you will be an active participant in the group's leadership team, providing direction, motivation and development across the group. You will support the Group Manager to set priorities for the team and lead them through engagement projects.
Your senior engagement experience will lead you in advising on the strategic and tactical approach to engagement for the Ministry to support our role as steward of the health system.
Ko pūkenga - What you'll bring
- Seasoned people leader with 10+ years of communications experience and a track record of high-quality delivery and achieving business outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on building and maintaining trust and confidence to position the organisation as a trusted authority
- Ability to develop capability to provide team members opportunities to grow their skills, leadership, and careers
- Politically savvy with Government sector experience
