We designed and launched the world’s first true wireless inspection camera, winning prestigious awards in the electrical industry in both the US and the UK. We launched 3 new Ferret models last year and were accoladed in the USA for the product innovation in the electrical and cabling category. The Ferret is now being used by electricians, plumbers, home inspections. chimney sweeps, pest control and other emerging markets throughout NZ, AU, Japan, UK, EU, USA and Canada. We are 100% NZ privately owned and operated. As we continue to expand our business and work on exciting new product development projects for the global market, we need a full stack developer with a highly creative, imaginative flair and an eye for detail to join the Ferret team. We currently use external subcontractors for different parts of our development work, and they would be available for handover to get you started.While you’ll be part of the wider Ferret team, the development role is yours alone so being a confident problem solver skilled to always “find a way” is critical. Opportunity to come in and "own" and develop" this role **Key parts of this new opportunity include**: - Developing new iOS and Android Apps based on an existing App and using SDKs supplied so creativity functionality and useability for the customer will be key - Mobile User Interface Design - the most important aspect of mobile app development for this role is building a high-quality user interface (UI) for the customers so the apps are easy to use and have a superior design and run smoothly - Working on global App product development - Managing multiple Wordpress websites - we have changes and updates we want made, just need to right person to come in and make it happen. You will be working closely with the brand team on these changes. - You will support the Ferret help desk team, answering queries and providing technical guidance where needed **Cross-Platform App and Web Development**You will have had experience and be able to work with a number of different platforms but are also versatile enough to research and build platforms and integrations when needed **About You - your technical expertise include**: - Graduate or up to 2 years full stack software engineering experience - C# and/or PHP a Must - asp dot net - AWS and Python would be advantageous - Using SDKs for multi-platform App development - CSS - Xcode and Android Studio, WooCommerce, Git and GitHub.
