An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced, highly motivated and innovative nurse leader for the role of Surgical Nurse Unit Manager within our Child Health Directorate. In this role you will be leading specialised surgical nursing teams to optimise operational planning and care delivery, enhance patient safety and quality improvement and input into and implement strategy. You will provide effective professional nursing leadership and management by collaborating with other senior leaders within the multidisciplinary team to actively strengthen frontline excellence in nursing care delivery. You will be part of a tight-knit senior nursing team and work closely with Service Clinical Directors and Operations Managers.

**To be successful in this role you will**:
- Have NZ Nursing Registration with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience post-registration
- Have Postgraduate diploma in specialty nursing practice
- Be committed to enacting transformational change to rectify health inequities through ensuring Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Participate in and lead Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action within your role
