YIJIANGNAN Limited is a newly incorporated business which offers Chinese massage services. Our premises is located at Ponsonby Road, Ponsonby, Auckland. We are currently looking for 3-4 enthusiastic massage therapy assistants to join our team.

The duties of the role are to:

- Prepare massage rooms and treatment areas for clients, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and equipped with necessary supplies.
- Set up equipment, such as massage tables, bolsters, and towels, according to established protocols.
- Greet clients and assist them with filling out intake forms and obtaining any required information.
- Escort clients to treatment rooms and help them get comfortable on the massage table.
- Clean and sanitize massage equipment, tools, and treatment rooms before and after each session to maintain hygiene standards.
- Provide support to the massage therapist during sessions, which may include handing them tools, adjusting lighting or music, and responding to therapist requests.
- Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and handle basic administrative duties to help manage the therapists schedule.
- Ensure that massage oils, lotions, and other supplies are well-stocked and readily available for therapists to use.
- Collect and wash linens used during sessions and ensure a constant supply of clean linens for each treatment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of common areas, treatment rooms, and storage spaces.
- Provide basic information to clients about the benefits of massage therapy, different modalities, and post-session care under the guidance of the massage therapist.
- Observe clients during sessions and report any unusual or concerning reactions or conditions to the massage therapist.
- Ensure that clients are comfortable and safe throughout their time in the facility, addressing any immediate concerns.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards in all interactions with clients and maintain client confidentiality.

Any other reasonable duties required by the massage therapist

The successful applicants shall:

- Preferably have relevant work experience in the massage industry
- Preferably have basic knowledge of Traditional Chinese Massage
- Have basic computer skills
- Have good communication skills
- Have attention to details
- Be able to work well in a team as well as individually
- Be passionate about the profession and reliable.
- Be friendly and courteous
- Have clean and tidy presentation
- Have no drug and alcohol issue
- Have no Criminal Conviction Record
