Wanaka, New Zealand High Performance Sport New Zealand Full time

We are stoked to announce our new role here at Snow Sports NZ, Purveyor of Stoke - Wellbeing and Health & Safety Manager.

This role will ensure that in the pursuit of '_winning on the world slopes'_ the wellbeing of our people is not compromised by ensuring the love for _'what we do'_ is as much about progression, creativity, and innovation as it is to do with who wins.

The key focus of this role will be to ensure our people keep the intrinsic joy of thriving in the mountains that does not solely rely on competition. We are looking for someone who:

- Is passionate about people and ensuring their wellbeing, performance and health & safety.
- Is an approachable, kind and caring person who can build trust in others and hold information in the highest confidence.
- Has strong relationship building skills, is self-motivated and dependable with excellent communication skills.
- Has a relevant tertiary qualification with experience in a specialist Wellbeing and/or Health & Safety role.

This is an exciting new role at Snow Sports NZ that has been established with the support of High Performance Sport NZ funding. It is anticipated that once systems and processes are developed, refined, and 'lived' this role will transition from having an establishment focus, to the one of continual improvement of Snow Sports NZ's performance foundations of:

- _ Culture (manahau)_
- _ Wellbeing (tūhauora)_
- _ Sustainability (whakapai)_

The hours of work are flexible and expected to be initially 16 to 24 hours per week (0.4 - 0.6 FTE). Given the project nature of the role, work hours may vary from week to week - giving you time to enjoy the perks of the job, multi-resort season ski pass, gym membership and time to enjoy the playground we live in.

Snow Sports NZ are the national sporting organisation representing the interests of adaptive snow sports, alpine ski racing, cross country skiing, freeskiing and snowboarding in New Zealand. We are about competitive snow sports, from grassroots, to winning on the world stage.
