About the Role
As Cybersecurity Consultant - Penetration Testing within our Application Security Service Line, you will be a key member of the team by using your technical experiences to help Datacom build a cyber testing capability that delivers high quality assessments to external customers and internal Datacom teams.
This role will suit a highly skilled and motivated Senior Penetration Tester who is keen on joining a growing security focused team. As a Senior Penetration Tester within our consultancy department, you will play a critical role in identifying vulnerabilities, conducting technical risk analysis, provide remediation recommendations, conduct research and development work to uplift our customers penetration testing capabilities.
We’re looking for passion, ambition, and a depth and breadth of core knowledge as well as the adaptability to ever changing market demands.
**What you will do**:
- Formulate attack plans, test cases and working exploits during testing engagements.
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the results of penetration testing and recommendations for remediation.
- Provide remediation workshops to clients, where findings and remediations are presented.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective testing capabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and technology trends
**What you will bring**:
- Experience in Penetration Testing within an enterprise or consulting environment.
- A passion towards Offensive Security and Penetration Testing.
- The ability to effectively communicate technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as OSCP, eCPPT, eWPT, PNPT, GWAPT, eMAPT.
- Proficiency in penetration testing tools and platforms, such as, Nmap, BurpSuite, Metasploit, Cobalt Strike and Kali Linux.
- Proven Experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and exploit development.
- A deep understanding of penetration testing standards and methodologies such as OWASP WSTG, OWASP MSTG, NIST SP 800-115, OSSTMM, PTES.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks such as the NZISM, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS.
- Strong general knowledge in computer science, such as operating systems, file systems, OSI network stack.
