**About the Role**
Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini West Coast is seeking a committed Clinical Lead to work collaboratively with professional and operational leadership to support the vision to deliver on planned care (health targets) within the organisation. This lead will support the vision of timely and equitable access to care for communities from across the coast with a specific focus on quality care and clinical standards.
As the Clinical Lead, you’ll be responsible for shaping, enhancing, and supporting our inpatient, perioperative and transalpine services. The role will focus on embedding clinical governance, best practice and ensuring integration across our system. You’ll work collaboratively with the Clinical Leadership Team to drive strategic planning, foster effective inter-professional partnerships, and uphold the values of Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini West Coast.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide and champion clinical governance, and quality improvement and ensure high professional standards
- Along with the district Operational Managers and CMO, lead and oversee the development of medical workforce strategic direction.
- Act as a leader and advocate for clinical best practices in the district and across the region. Streamline process to support this goal.
- Engage with key stakeholders inside and outside the organisation, fostering collaboration to achieve Coast-wide (and regional) healthcare goals.
- Mentor, empower, and inspire teams to maintain effective communication and deliver outstanding care.
**Your Background**
We’re seeking a respected senior doctor with experience in, or passion for clinical governance. Experience in healthcare leadership and a track record of delivering high quality care in a hospital setting would be ideal. Moreover, comfortable with working in diverse environments that value inclusive and equitable care is highly valued.
