The Hawke’s Bay Toyota Group is a large, franchised motor vehicle dealership and property group. We have been in business for over 35 years and have Toyota Stores in Hastings, Napier, Greenmeadows, Gisborne, Taupo and Rotorua. We also have substantial property holdings with further developments on the horizon.

Due to the impending retirement of one of our long-term administrator’s we are need another team member at our Head Office. We want someone to come on board as an Assistant Accountant, you will be working at our Head Office in Napier as part of our tight knit Group Administration team.

This is a varied role in a fun and fast paced industry. It will suit someone wanting to get hands on commercial accounting experience and grow their accounting career. You will be working closely with our Finance Director and will gain great exposure to what makes a successful business tick

Key Functions will be (but not limited to);
- Managing the Group’s Account Payable Function - learn and understand the account payable process, ensure our process are followed, look for cost savings and accounts are reconciled.- Prepare the Group fortnightly Payroll run. Full training will be given here.- Prepare general ledger journal entries and complete key general ledger account reconciliations- Learn bank reconciliation and debtor collection function- In conjunction with the Finance Director carry our regular supplier contract reviews- Assist with the preparation and completion of monthly & annual financial reporting- Trend Analysis duties as requiredIf you are looking to kick start your accounting career, then this is the perfect opportunity to be part of a well - respected Brand and Company that doesn’t stand still.
