The job description of a dentist includes the following responsibilities:
1. Examining patients' teeth, gums, and mouth to diagnose and identify oral health issues.
2. Developing treatment plans and discussing them with patients, including procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals.
3. Administering anesthetics to patients to numb pain during dental procedures.
4. Cleaning and polishing teeth to remove plaque and stains.
5. Taking X-rays and other diagnostic tests to assess the condition of patients' teeth and jaw.
6. Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and providing preventive dental care advice.
7. Performing surgical procedures such as tooth extractions.
8. Supervising dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other dental professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
9. Keeping accurate records of patient treatments and maintaining patient confidentiality.
10. Staying updated with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques through continuing education.
