Surfacing Crew Workers

Our seasoned roading team are very busy. Working in some of our most spectacular forests in and around Rotorua (Kaingaroa, Kawerau and Tokoroa), our crew keep our roads in tip top shape and enjoy a wide variety of pavement construction tasks. Our projects also take the teams up to the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula down and around the wider Waikato Region and across to the Bay of Plenty. As part of this crew you'll be required to work away from home during the week and returning home on weekends, on some occasions the projects may require longer stays due to the distance and logistics of travel (accommodation and daily meal allowances provided).

If you are eager to build your career have a the required licence and enjoy being kept physically active our roles provide a balance of driving, operating machinery and labouring.

This is a role where you need to be flexible to go from driving to operating machinery to helping out with labouring. Everyone pitches in and helps and there is a great sense of team spirit.

Our main Surfacing yard is based in Rotorua where some of the roles below would be based from and others roles will be based from the Waikato Region.

**What knowledge / experience / qualifications are we after?**
- ** Watercart & Transport Trailer Drivers**
- Minimum Full clean Class 5 licence
- Experienced & capable driver essential as some locations of work are remote and accessed by narrow windy roads
- W,T,R & D endorsements advantageous but not essential
- Granular pavement construction experience advantageous but not essential
- Must be a team player, with a positive can-do attitude and strong communication skills
- Must be self-motivated and driven to succeed
- ** All round machine operator & driver (Rollers, Excavators)**
- Minimum Class 2 licence
- W,T,R endorsements advantageous but not essential

We are contracted to work all over New Zealand, so you will need to be open to travel from time to time. We offer a guaranteed 40 working week, and a competitive hourly rate.
