**About the organisation**
Research For Life is the public face of the Wellington Medical Research Foundation Inc. It supports innovative quality research with a focus on funding researchers in the early stages of their careers who, through their work, will advance the quality of healthcare in the Wellington region and beyond.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Chairperson, it will suit a multi-skilled generalist who can turn their skills to a range of different responsibilities including;
- Financial management and administration of the organisation,
- Management and oversight of the grants programme,
- Producing regular newsletters,
- Supporting and servicing the Board and the Research Advisory Committee,
- Donor, benefactors and supporter relations.
**About you**
You could have gained relevant experience in a diverse range of settings that incorporate the efficient and effective management of a small organisation. Skills sought include;
- A sound understanding of financial management systems such as Xero,
- While not necessary, exposure to grants be it as donor and/or recipient would be useful
- Excellent organisational skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communications skills
- An ability to relate well to stakeholders including donors, benefactors, institutions and researchers.
