**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
We are currently looking for **a Nurse Specialist** to join the Adult PAR team in a **Permanent ,Full-time basis. **The nursing led PAR model aims to proactively respond to deteriorating patients in a focused manner as well as provide a clear escalation pathway and response. The Nurse Specialist is a key person supporting the ward teams to manage this.
Reporting to the Charge Nurse, the Nurse Specialists function with a large degree of autonomy to provide advanced assessment, nursing management and support across Auckland City Hospital.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
- We are looking for individuals who have excellent problem-solving skills and a proven ability to manage complex problems of a wide and varied nature across the organisation.
- You will be confident in making independent recommendations, liaising and collaborating with a range of people and teams.
- You will demonstrate expert clinical skill, promote best practice, facilitate collaboration between teams and provide coaching and education. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to navigate challenging situations.
- You must have a minimum of 5 years clinical practice in an acute care setting post registration, some of which should be at an advanced level. Level 4 PDRP and current APC are also a requirement. Previous experience working with the ADHB PAR will be advantageous.
