We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our
Planning and Funding team. This role will sit as part of the Mental Health and
Addictions Team where there are opportunities to implement system improvements
in response to stakeholder feedback.
It's an exciting time as we partner with Iwi and
people with lived experience to understand what works for them and reflect this
in our system and services.
Specifically, this role is

**responsible for**:

- Delivering a National focus on mental health and

addictions
- New models such as Mana Ake and Te Tumu Waiora
rolled out to change the way we respond to people ' more early intervention,
services and support available in communities
- Local system design work undertaken in partnership
with Iwi
- Drawing more on expertise of people who have used
services to plan for the future.
- Developing, maintaining and managing collaborative
relationships with providers, alliance partners and stakeholders, to ensure
service development and project delivery are aligned Waitaha Canterbury and Te
Tai o Poutini West Coast health systems' strategies and national expectations.
- Developing associated service contracts and
ensuring service performance expectations and priorities are clearly
understood.
- Championing a value-added approach to promote
outcome-focused, patient-centred service delivery and support strategies that

Essential
- University

degree in health, health management or business-related discipline.
- Effective interpersonal, oral and
written, communication skills with experience in presenting information to a
range of audiences.
- Ability to think critically, evaluate

- Ability to accurately interpret
information and analyse data.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and
competing demands.
- Demonstrated understanding of how
performance information can be used to direct or drive improved performance.
Desirable
- Broad knowledge of the health and

disability or public service sector and awareness of key health policy
directions.
- Experience in contract management or
understanding of procurement and contract management principles and discipline.
- Budget management experience.
- Understanding of the planning and funding
