**Salary**: $59.000-$73.000
Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
The prime purpose of the role is to support and advocate for our whānau when they are in hospital. Some of your duties in this role will include:

- Facilitating access for Māori to services
- Providing cultural support to enable delivery of patient and whānau-focused care. This may include working alongside clinically focused staff.
- Actively participate in the Māori health teamMō tō mātou rōpū ' About our teamYou will be part of a multi-disciplinary Māori team. The team works at both Hutt Valley and Capital Coast and provides support to our Whānau with the aim of reducing health inequities. The team prioritises whakawhanaungatanga and Manaakitanga in our interactions and supports the integration of Matauranga Māori practices into our mahi.

Moū ' About you
To be successful in this role you will be
- Comfortable in tikanga Māori and situations where Te Reo Māori is being spoken. Being a fluent speaker of Te Reo Māori would be an advantage
- Good communication skills able to sit and listen to whānau.
- Ability to work without supervision, to be highly self-motivated and prioritise customer service in a positive manner.
