About the Role
As a Senior AWS Cloud Consultant, you are primarily responsible for designing and delivering projects and will be called upon to consult, develop and deliver engagements relating to Amazon AWS (be they IaaS, PaaS, Cloud Native or other).
You will have the opportunity to combine your excellent technical knowledge, your desire to continue learning and more importantly your great customer engagement skills in this role.
What you’ll do
Some of your day to day duties will include consulting on and delivering technical solutions for customers utilising the AWS platform, determining operational needs for AWS environments, providing technical solutions with a focus on automation whilst ensuring strong relationships with our clients.
As a Senior AWS Cloud Consultant your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Consulting - the provision of technical knowledge in relation to solutions to resolve business issues
- Design - the provision of technical documentation outlining solutions to client needs
- Implementation/ migration - the delivery of solutions on the cloud platform.
- Evangelise Cloud as a driver for business change both internally and for our customers.
- Developing strong internal and external relationships, displaying technical excellence during all facets of each engagement.
What you’ll bring
This is an excellent senior role for a people person who is passionate about new technologies and producing excellent solutions for our customer needs. You’ll have at least 10 years IT experience with at least 5 years in project delivery and/or consultancy.
We are keen to hear about your proven track record in delivery of complex hybrid cloud and or public cloud delivery to delivery business change to customers. Your relationship building and communication skills will be a strength.
Highly Desirable Skills and Experience
**One or more of the following**: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
- Demonstrable technical leadership where you have advised other technical people within a project environment
- Demonstrable skills with customer engagement, governance and steering business outcomes
- Landing Zone deployments for medium to large clients
- Migration of services to and within AWS
- Intermediate to expert level experience with Infrastructure as Code (Cloudformation, Terraform, CDK, Pulumi)
- AWS Cost Management and Optimisation
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and CICD pipeline designing and implementation
- Strong AWS networking including - VPC, Subnets, TGW design and architecture
- Docker/Containers deployment and management
- Experience with AD integration and SSO
- Creation of quality high-level design and detailed design documentation
