We are seeking a fixed-term Lecturer to teach our Radio Broadcasting Journalism programmes.

As a Lecturer your primary responsibility will be to recruit students, to plan and deliver quality lectures and assessments, to support learning through face to face as well as online delivery modes, to monitor the papers and mentor students. As a part of our academic staff, you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of the papers that are taught within your curriculum area.

Our successful applicants will have:

- A diploma in journalism/ broadcasting or relevant qualification.
- Experience in NZ Journalism industry and/or NZ Commercial Radio.
- Practical knowledge and skills in Journalism and its related software/hardware.
- A strong understanding and knowledge in key disciplines of Journalism (ie writing, creative, ethics & standards).
- Strong communication and interpersonal
- Good written and oral communication and presentation
- Networks within NZ Journalism industry.
- Working knowledge of tikanga and conversational ability in Te Reo Māori.
- Research
- Knowledge of quality improvement systems and processes.
