This opportunity is for a fixed term (12 months) part-time (20 hours per week) role (to cover parental leave) that would suit an experienced Allied Health, Scientific or Technical clinician who is looking for an opportunity to work in a role that supports the diverse range of Allied Professions. With over 40 professions that make up the Allied Professions this role will provide you variety, continued learning and an opportunity to get involved in a wide range of workforce initiatives. This role will broaden your reach and engagement across our district.
The Allied Professions Workforce Development Coordinator enables and supports the provision of a range of learning and development solutions that grow the capability of the Allied Professions to meet the needs of our patients and communities and support equitable health outcomes. The position also supports key workforce development initiatives that align to the overall strategic direction of the organisation. Examples of the types of activity you'll be involved in are: developing our assistant workforces; supporting services embed Interprofessional Practice; ensuring systems and programmes are in place that support professional support for staff (mentoring, clinical coaching, supervision); and professional development.

This role reports to the Director Allied Professions for Workforce Development and will work alongside another Allied Professions Workforce Development Coordinator and a number of other roles. This team is part of the wider Allied Professions Leadership Team, responsible for supporting the Chief Allied Professions Officer's role of providing leadership for the Allied Professions across the district.
Moū ' About you
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Allied Professional looking for an opportunity to grow the capability of our diverse Allied Professions workforce across our entire district.
Problem solving skills are required, along with good administration and organisational skills including planning and prioritisation of work. We are looking for someone with knowledge of implementing quality improvement processes and/or project coordination/management skills.
We are looking for an allied professional with experience of design, delivery and evaluation of learning and development interventions and a knowledge of adult learning. The Allied Professions Workforce Development Coordinator will have well-developed interpersonal skills, and good written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to produce presentations and other learning collateral.
You will hold a relevant Allied Professions qualification, be a registered Allied Health, Scientific & Technical practitioner with a current annual practicing certificate or certification/membership of professional association (as appropriate) with clinical experience.
