**About the Role**
We are seeking an Orthopaedic Registrar to join our Orthopaedic Department here at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. The training year commences on 2 February and mid-year starts 3 August 2026.

These may be patients referred for admission on acute days or be patients who have previously been cared for by the team and whom the team has accepted for re-admission.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain extensive trauma and elective surgical experience. Our new orthopaedic theatre features daily consultant-led trauma lists, providing a rich environment for hands-on learning and development.
In addition to a diverse range of inpatient cases, you will be expected to participate in outpatient clinics, operating theatre sessions, and departmental meetings, including Grand Rounds, X-Ray meetings, and Orthopaedic case discussions.
We are accredited for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Surgical Education and Training (SET) programme.
