H2R has partnered with a leading mid-tier Chartered Accounting firm in Auckland in search of an External Auditor to join the team. Our client provides professional services in the areas of Business Advisory, Tax, and Audit and Assurance. **About the role**

As an External Auditor you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients across a range of industries whilst working closely with the seniors and managers. You will play a key role in working with the team and be involved at numerous stages of external audits. We will consider both Intermediate or Senior External Auditors.

Some responsibilities include:

- Lead and oversee audit engagements from planning to completion.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans.
- Perform detailed audit testing and analysis.
- Review workpapers and ensure compliance with auditing standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients.

**About you**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA or CA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 plus years of experience in external auditing.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
