The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is in an exciting growth period with increasingly important work on the horizon, contributing to delivery of NZ's Emissions Reduction Plan. Our Policy and Engagement team is looking for a Policy Advisor to help prepare advice that hits the mark with Ministers and delivers on EECA's ambitious and exicting work programme.

**An average day in this role could include**:

- developing policy advice on EECA's strategic focus areas
- including energy, climate change, transport, and housing
- representing EECA in cross-agency initiatives, focused on energy efficiency and emissions reduction
- preparing and coordinating briefings, along with responding to information requests
- working with a dedicated team of people who are passionate about what they do.

**To be successful in this role, you'll have**:

- a tertiary qualification in public policy, economics, humanities, psychology or similar
- relevant work experience
- outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
- understanding of machinery of government
- a proactive and collaborative approach.
