Freightways Information Services is looking for a motivated and adaptable Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. We are passionate about supporting growth pathways within across Freightways group and this role will provide an excellent opportunity for professional growth and exposure across a wide range of areas within accounting and finance. In this varied role, you will learn from everyone around you and will have the opportunity to take on a multitude of tasks to support the finance team and grow your career.

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- General Accounts: Managing day-to-day accounting tasks and have a key role in month end processing.- Accounts Payable: Support the processing of supplier invoices and payments and resolve discrepancies.- Billing & Invoicing: Help prepare and issue accurate customer invoices for internal group companies.- IT Software Accounting: Become an expert in accounting for software.- Reconciliations and Financial Analysis: Prepare reconciliations including bank and supplier accounts.- Emissions reporting: Assist with the data capture for all business emissions- Ad-Hoc Duties: Assist with various tasks as required to support business continuity.

**About You**
To be successful in this role, you must be adaptable, driven, and eager to develop your accounting skillset. You will be a team-player who can work both collaboratively and independently with strong communication skills. You will have a sound understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience in accounting for software a bonus, coupled with strong attention to detail and organisational skills. You will be a keen problem-solver and enjoy taking on new tasks with an analytical mindset. Ideally, you will be confident in using Excel (experience with accounting software is a plus). You will enjoy working in the office as this is an office-based role. Importantly, you will have a “can-do” attitude and be excited to grow your accounting career with Freightways.
