**Requirements**:
As a Software Engineer at Whip Around your focus will be to create world-class solutions for our customers Whip Around is quickly becoming the software platform of choice for business owners, fleet managers and drivers with dedication to workplace safety. Through a mixture of new features and improvements you will work with our team of creators to consistently raise the bar on user experiences and deliver key solutions to our customers.

**Success in this role will look like**:

- Clean code is written and there is confidence in your ability to build quality
- Working closely with Senior members of the Engineering team, you encourage feedback and you are open to receiving and implementing feedback during code reviews.
- Support troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance.
- A high level of collaboration takes place with other engineers to learn, design and deliver project-level solutions.
- The Product team is supported to design seamless experiences for our users - through your effective communication and technical advice.
- Strong relationships are formed with your peers across the business - Product, Marketing, Design, Implementation, CS.
- Provide Input into our engineering practice, governance, and help create our engineering roadmap.
- You are an example of our values, living these daily.
- You support fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.

**The ideal experience will include**:

- Useful BSc in Computer Science, BE in Software Engineering, or other relevant qualifications.
- Minimum 6 months of practical work experience in a similar role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excited to learn about how our industry works and our product
- Openness to receiving and giving feedback in a safe and inclusive work environment
- A desire to learn and an ability to pick things up quickly
- Some understanding of the Laravel and React frameworks
- Personal projects An app or a portfolio of apps that you have built outside of work
- You're analytical and good at time management.
