Taumarunui Hospital is one of the three Te Whatu Ora, Waikato rural hospitals. It is located about 160 kilometres south of Hamilton, in the heart of the King Country in a picturesque valley surrounded by farmlands. We have a total of 18 beds between the emergency, inpatient, and the primary birthing facility. All services have collaborative relationships within the hospital teams and with community providers in order to ensure an integrated healthcare approach. We have a fantastic, supportive, and multicultural team with varied workloads.

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:
- Excellent fitness to work in an environment with heavy physical demands including frequent standing, lifting and humid and busy environment.
- Willingness to follow direction and carry out tasks in a timely efficient manner.
- Ability to build and maintain positive respectful relationships with customers and team members.
- Reliability with an excellent attendance record.
- An understanding of hospital kitchen functions, and previous experience in similar roles would be an advantage.
- Full training is provided.
