Solid Plasterer

**Position: Solid Plasterer**

Duncan & Taylor Group is a Miramar-based Project Management company that has been serving the wider Wellington region for over 50 years, with a focus on providing premium insurance reinstatement services within the Construction Sector.

Duncan & Taylor Group is going through a period of significant growth. In the last year alone, We have expanded into Kapiti, Hawkes Bay and the Wairarapa. Were looking to expand our existing team and on the lookout for new Solid Plasterer.

Job duties:

- Discussing plans with relevant clients
- Examining and measuring the surface
- Selecting the appropriate plastering materials for different sites
- Protecting non-plastering surfaces with appropriate materials
- Determining plasterboard layout
- Measuring and cutting plasterboard, lifting and positioning panels, and securing them to walls, ceilings etc
- Fixing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings
- Filling holes and sealing cracks
- Covering joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, and smoothing them
- Fixing and repairing previous plastering work when necessary
- Mixing and preparing mortar, plasters, and other finishes
- Tidying up and cleaning the tools, equipment and the work areas
- Any other duties the employer reasonably may require employee to perform

Pay rate: minimum $35.00/hour maximum $38.00/hour

Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum of 44 hours per week

Requirements for the job:

- Some prior work experience is preferred but not compulsory
- Prefer to have experience in the following skills: install wallboards, exterior and interior, Rondo Track, PPCS - STO, Rockcote, Specialized etc
- Have a positive attitude
- Be Reliable and punctual
- Be attention to details and being extra careful
- Be physically fit
- Full time availability
- Needs to be able to work up and down the country on occasion
- No criminal record
