Grocery Assistants

**New World Porirua offers the right applicant the opportunity to join a very friendly and successful Grocery Team. We are looking for an applicant who is customer service focused and reliable. Speed and accuracy are key in this role.**
**Immediate Start Required**
**The Job**:
The Grocery department is responsible for ensuring that customers get exactly what they came for; advertised products, specials and the day to day essentials. You will need to work independently, taking initiative to fill every gap on the shelf. You will take pride in presenting our range of products, providing your knowledge to our customers where possible. This role involves customer service skills, as you will be in and amongst customers for most of the day. Other tasks include general housekeeping of your department, rotating stock as required, working overstocks in the storeroom and ensuring that ticketing is available for every product.
**The Person**:
We are looking for an applicant that is mature and level headed, is able to deal with pressure and is willing to take responsibility for their own work. We are looking for a person that is customer focused and reliable. Able to lift over 20kgs, is physically fit and works at speed.

**The Requirements**:
You must be able to lift stock that can weigh over 20kgs, move pallets full of stock, this position requires physical strength. Previous experience in a grocery department or supermarket would be an advantage, you must have a friendly and welcoming personality and be willing to help when needed.

**The Hours**:
**Position 1**:
Monday 6am to 2.30pm

Tuesday 11am to 8pm

Thursday 11am to 8pm

Friday 11am to 8pm

**Position 2**:
Monday 6am to 2.30pm

Wednesday 11am to 8pm

Thursday 11am to 8pm

Friday 11am to 8pm
